What is Facial?

A facial is a family of skin care treatments for the face, including steam, exfoliation (physical and chemical), extraction, creams, lotions, facial masks, peels, and massage. Facials are used for general skin health as well as for specific skin conditions. Types of facials include European facial, LED light therapy facials, hydrafacials and mini-facials.

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a form of a cosmetic semi-permanent makeup performed using, a manual (not a machine) disposable handheld tool, composed with very fine needles resembling the shape of a blade (we call it a microblade), to hand draw each individual hair and simultaneously implant the pigment into the skin.

How is Microblading done?

Each new hair stroke that is drawn by an artist is meant to simulate the client natural eyebrows hair and seamlessly blend it with the client existing brows to add color and fullness resulting in a very natural look. Our microblading process ensures that we design a customized shape, look, and feel that complements your face and your personality. With our experienced Yasmin Tork Aesthetics at the helm, the results will be gorgeous yet undetectable

Who is Microblading for?

Microblading is an ideal solution for clients who have patchy, thin, or uneven eyebrows and are looking for the most natural looking results. However, not everyone is a candidate for microblading and there are different elements to consider such as skin condition and health. Microblading is most suitable for clients with normal skin and small pores. Oil in the skin can cause the Microblading hair-stroke to expand and blur so the less oily the client skin is, the better the result would be. At Yasmin Tork Aesthetics, we have very strict guidelines that we follow to decide who is a good candidate for microblading and who should avoid microblading!

Are there different techniques and approaches to Microblading?

Yes, there are more than a few different approaches to Microblading. There are 1D Eyebrows, where hair strokes all go in one direction. There are 3D Eyebrows, where the hair strokes are laid out in a specific pattern across the eyebrow ridges, Creating a 3-D effect. Here at Yasmin Tork Aesthetics, world-renowned microblading artist Lindsey Ta created a specific hair pattern that has been recognized as one of the most natural and popular microblading designs in the industry. This transformational microblading pattern, can be performed accurately only by Yasmin Tork Aesthetics, is the reason why customers come here from all over the world.

How many sessions do I need for a new set of Microbladed Eyebrows?

A new set of Microbladed eyebrows takes two appointments to complete. The technique and art of microblading is very delicate and for this reason it needs two visits to ensure that all the strokes are evenly saturated with pigment. The second appointment is called a complementary touchup and takes place 6 to 8 weeks after the initial appointment after the pigments settled into the skin. In this complementary touchup, the artist makes any needed adjustments and ensures each hair-stroke has even color.

How do I maintain my new Microbladed Brows?

We recommend yearly touchup, after the initial complementary touchup, to maintain the crispness and freshness of the color. Natural fading occurs from external factors such as exposure to the sun as well as internal factors such as the gradual break down of pigments as your body metabolizes it out of your system. Everyone can experience the fading process differently and it really comes down to skin type and lifestyle

What Can You Expect During the Microblading Healing Process?

The microblading healing process is an emotional rollercoaster.

There will be moments when you will think that the color is wrong and that you didn’t get what you wanted.

What are the Stages of Microblading Healing Process?

Usually, there are 6 stages of microblading healing, some of which overlap:

• eyebrows swollen and dark (days 1-5)

• flaking and scabbing (days 5-10)

• eyebrows too light, almost disappeared (days 8-11)

• the color is back, but the brows look patchy (days 11-21)

• touch up (4-8 weeks after the initial procedure)

• full recovery (after a few days of microblading healing process after touch up)

What to do?

Don’t panic!

The color will change into the desired one. Brows will become almost 50% lighter once the microblading healing process ends.

Follow the microblading aftercare instructions religiously. Don’t get your brows wet, don’t apply any makeup, don’t sleep on your face, avoid extensive sweating, swimming pools, saunas, and sunlight exposure.

Days 3-4

Your brows will look better and you will be satisfied. You are getting used to the fact that you don’t have to draw or fill them in with a pencil every morning. They are still too dark but are slowly starting to fade.

Keep taking special care of the microbladed area. Don’t be worried if your brows still look too dark – this is perfectly normal, the pigments just haven’t settled yet.

Your brows are a fresh wound and need to be cleaned properly.

Days 5-7

Somewhere around day 5, the scabbing stage begins. The microbladed area is itchy. You might feel irritated, but scratching is strictly forbidden. The area is still pretty sensitive and scratching can cause complications.

Days 8-10

The scabs are starting to come off and your brows are much lighter than they should be.

You might think that your skin is rejecting the pigment, but this is usually not the case. After all the scabbing and peeling, your brows are still recovering. Now they are light and patchy.

You might notice the baby skin beneath the scabs looks unnaturally light – don’t worry, it will blend in within a few days.

What to do?

Again, don’t freak out.

Don’t run to the microblading artist asking for a money refund thinking that the whole treatment was unsuccessful. This happens to almost everyone who has had their brows microbladed.

If you are really unhappy with them, you can wear makeup, but only if the scabbing is over so as not to cause an infection. Otherwise, relax and wait for the color to come back.

Days 11- 28

The hardest period is behind you and your microblading recovery is almost over.

Your microbladed brows are taking their final shape. They might look patchy at the beginning, but some microbladed strokes will reappear. This is still not the end of the microblading healing process, and you need to be patient just a bit longer.

You might feel excited because the final look of your brows is just around the corner. You are also relieved because all the scabbing is over. The skin of the treated area is not so sensitive anymore, so you can slowly start behaving normally, but keep following your artist’s instructions and avoid certain products and activities.

At the end of the third week, you will see what the brows look like and how the skin has taken the pigment.

If it is still patchy, don’t worry, they can be corrected at the touch-up appointment.

What to do?

Schedule the touch-up.

It is supposed to be done at the end of the healing process, i.e. 4-6 weeks after the treatment, but some artists prefer to wait as long as 8 weeks to pass.

The touch-up is there to correct all the imperfections. For example, if the brows look uneven or if they are patchy, additional strokes are added.

Days 28-42

The microblading healing process is finally over.

Some brows heal faster, some take more time. It depends on:

• your age

• skin type

• overall health

• and daily routine and lifestyle.

After the touch-up, your brows will take their final shape and color.

If you followed the aftercare tips and if the microblading artist has done a good job, you will probably be head over heels about your new brows. They will make your self-esteem go through the roof.
